But how do I order from you?  What information do I need?
How much would you like to spend? Basket fees range from $50 - $1000 CDN.  Flowers start at $35 CDN Balloons begin at $19.95 for a simple latex arrangement. What is the occasion? Tell us why you are sending the basket.  This helps us to suggest an appropriate mix of goods and a price.	Do I have to tell you what kinds of foods or gifts to put into the basket? Only if you want to provide that input.  Otherwise, a simple suggestion such as "he is a healthy eater" or "she loves chocolate and coffee" or "they have two cats" is all the input we need. All Applegate's baskets are created on demand.  Baskets are freshly made after your call.  You may have any products you wish.	Who is the recipient? When you call, a basket designer will ask you about the recipient.  Hobbies?  Interests?  Allergies?  But what if I don't know anything about the person?  No problem.  We are experts.  Just give us the name of the person and their approximate age, if you can.  If not, leave it all up to us.
How much time will it take to order by phone? A simple order will take about 10 minutes to process if you are a new client.  An established client (whose information we already have on file) can place an order in under 2 minutes.   Call 1-780- 413-6362 or Toll Free 1-866-882-1200	How do I pay for the basket?   Applegate's takes all major credit cards including American Express and Diners Club. Please note:  Due to problems of fraudulent credit card use, we take extra care to get all the information needed to use your card.  We will email you for permission to use your credit card or fax you a one-time credit card authorization for your protection.	What are the additional costs?   Delivery and 5% federal taxes are always additional. Wine and liquor pick-up fees are additional. Personal Shopper fees are additional. When will my order be delivered? 

Applegate's policy (except in high season like Christmas or Valentine's) is "order in the AM, delivery that Afternoon, order in the Afternoon, delivery the next AM".  However, Applegate's is very fast and we almost always deliver much faster than promised.

What about weekend deliveries?

As long as you have placed your order by Friday, 12 PM MST, your order will go out during the weekend. 
Orders placed during the weekend will be delivered the next working morning (Monday AM or Tuesday AM following the holiday).
 

Delivery?  Applegate's Gift Baskets ships throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Manitoba.  Shipping to other parts of Canada is also available, but we will usually try to pair you up with an Eastern company whose work we trust.   Local cities include:  Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Devon, Fort Saskatchewan, Nisku, Leduc, Red Deer, Morinville, Westlock, Wetaskiwin, Beaumont.

     Here's a fun and practical alternative to a regular gift basket.

Applegate's does a large number of Sympathy baskets.  These can be done in 1 of 3 ways: 
Quiet Time Pamper (for a Woman - see above), 
Family Comfort,
or a Family Hostess basket.  



The above is a Family Comfort basket and includes foods which would be cooked to create a warm meal (like pasta and soups).  Beverages, sweets, and cookies are also included.  Coffee or cocoa packets say, "With Deepest Sympathy."  If there are small children, Sesame Street chocolate lollipops will also be included.
